Social bullying: Also known as relational bullying, this involves spreading rumors, excluding someone from a group, or manipulating relationships to hurt someone.
Psychological bullying: Involves actions that impact someone’s mental health and emotional well-being, such as intimidation, harassment, or manipulation.
Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like computers, smartphones, and tablets. It can happen through text messages, social media, forums, or any other online platforms. Forms of cyberbullying include:
Harassment: Repeatedly sending offensive, rude, or insulting messages to someone.
Doxxing: Publishing private or personal information about someone without their consent.
Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else online to cause harm or spread false information.
Outing: Sharing someone’s private information, secrets, or embarrassing photos or videos without their permission.
Cyberstalking: Using the internet to stalk, harass, or intimidate someone persistently.
Both bullying and cyberbullying can have severe and lasting effects on victims, including anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. It’s important to recognise the signs and take action to prevent and address these harmful behaviours.
