Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is a shared responsibility. A child is anyone under the age of 18. Every person who comes into contact with children, young people, or their families has a part to play. No single practitioner will ever hold the complete picture of a child’s life. To ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time, everyone involved must stay alert to concerns, share information appropriately, and take timely action.
